Teams skipped by Lisa Landon and Todd Goetsch won the Wausau Curling Club play downs last week, achieving the title of 2025-26 Women’s and Men’s Club Champions.
The women’s champions included Landon, Kim Susens, Ann Mihalus, Nicole Rodriguez, and Sarah Sewell. The runner up was the Lori Ziegel rink.
On the men’s side the Goetsch rink included Bobby Splinter, Rylan Hoerter, and Gregg James. They defeated the Cuciarelli team in an extra end in the championship game.
The Wausau Curling Club season will close Thursday night with the annual meeting and dinner at the Wausau Curling Center, and the introduction of new members of the club’s board of directors.
