Learn to Curl at the Wausau Curling Center

During these sessions, new curlers will learn about the history and strategy of the game and will have time on the ice to learn how to deliver and “sweep” the curling stones as they head down the ice toward the target.

There is also stick-curling available for participants who have have mobiliity issues on the ice. 

Equipment and step-by-step instructions will be provided by the club.  Participants should bring a separate pair of clean, rubber-soled shoes to wear on the ice, and dress in layers and loose-fitting trousers or pants. Street shoes are not allowed on the ice.

It will be about 35 degrees on the ice, but going up and down the ice will keep you Check-In for all Learn to Curls will begin at 5:30 PM with the Learn to Curl starting promptly at 6 PM. Space is limited to 32 participants and pre-registration is required. The cost is $10 and includes instruction, playing a game and snacks and beverages afterwards.
