Join us for our January Learn to Curl! For $10 you will learn how to deliver a stone, learn how to play the game of curling and learn about the ettiquette and sportsmanship of Chess on Ice. 

Due to Ice Maitanence on Friday Night and Saturday, this event has been moved to Sunday January 28th. 

You’ve watched it on TV during the winter Olympics, now try it with your friends, family, or co-workers.

The Wausau Curling Club holds public Learn-to-Curl events multiple times a year to introduce “Chess On Ice” to people of all ages. Whether you are a skilled athlete or someone who wants to give it a try, we will ensure that you have a great time learning the game of curling. We are also a great team-building activity for your business or organization.

If you, or your group, wants to get out on the ice and give it a shot, we host two different types of “Learn-to-Curl” events

Learn to Curl at the Wausau Curling Center

During these sessions, new curlers will learn about the history and strategy of the game and will have time on the ice to learn how to deliver and “sweep” the curling stones as they head down the ice toward the target.

There is also stick-curling available for participants who have have mobiliity issues on the ice.
